Mandylion Password Manager

Military-grade password protection!

Unfortunately, we all have to deal with modern life’s little cyber-burden, the password. Some of us do so by simply re-using an old password when the system asks you to change it. Other times we use the same password but just add the month at the end. Some people even resort to keeping their passwords written on yellow stickey notes or in their wallet. None of these options, however, is very effective for protecting your valuable data. Instead, we would like to present a superior solution brought to you compliments of the US Military.

Please click here for more information

The Mandylion Password Manager is a secure, convenient and cost-effective device built specifically for generating and protecting your passwords. Tested and matured for 3 years in real warfare environments, it is now available for commercial use. Built as a small keyring device, it can securely manage up to 50 logins, safe combinations, security codes, etc. that can be individually generated to meet the composition requirements of any login policy. Passwords can be any length up to 14 characters or namespaces. It can create passwords based on your settings for various criteria (such as length, alpha-numeric, special characters, etc.) and prompt you to change your passwords at preset time intervals (90 days, 1 year, etc.) Also, all data is stored in permanent memory, so it is unaffected by battery life or loss of power. Tamper-resistant features have been employed both inside and out, making the device a superior choice to storing passwords on your PDA, PC or worse, writing them down.

Jumbo LED Binary Clock

Minimilist Design Meets Geek Chic.

Binary started out as a way for geeks to master the world of computing, but here at ThinkGeek we understand that binary is mostly just another way for us to help you confuse your friends and co-workers. Enter the Jumbo LED Binary Clock. Simply slap this stylistic one foot square clock on the wall or on your favorite flat surface, select BCD or pure binary mode, set the time, and voila! You've just created an Instant Confusion Device (ICD) that actually tells the time. Congratulations! For best results do net setup your ICD in your local IT Lab as the chances of confusion will decrease to the point of non-compliance. Now simply wait for the next peon to walk across it's path and stare in dis-belief as the thick sludge of neurons between his ears fails to grasp any approximation of the truth before his eyes. Then just laugh to yourself and go back to playing Portal.

Please click here for more information

But ThinkGeek, I'm Basically A n00b, How Do I Read It? - Glad you asked. All geeks were n00bs at one point (except maybe Linus, and that guy in the wheelchair). So we've created a simple, idiot proof visual guide to reading the clock in BCD mode. Available here. Easy. Pure binary mode is just as easy, but instead of visually we'll describe how you read it so you can sharpen your basic written comprehension skills. The horizontal bottom row represents the seconds, the 2nd row from the bottom the minutes, and the third from the bottom the hour. Then the six vertical columns are each assigned a value, from left to right, they are: 32, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1. Just sum up the values across the horizontal columns for hours, minutes and seconds - and voila! Instant mad time genius. Of course detailed reading instructions are included with each clock for those of you with ADD.

Anti-gravity Globe

Science fact or friction?

Ok, before you start sending us emails - we fully understand that this isn't a real anti-gravity device. Of course it's a prototype, duh. We are busy working on a true anti-gravity globe and plan to release one in 2011, right after we release a flying pig. Marketing-based-gimmicky product names aside, this globe *does* hover above its base in a seeming defiance of gravity. How does it accomplish this astonishing feat? Well, since you are shopping here at ThinkGeek, you probably already know. There is a thin, but extraordinarily strong, column of precisely engineered nano-simians between the base unit and the globe that keeps the appearance of the globe hovering above the base unit. Woohoo!

Please click here for more information

As always, we are as tickled as dogs trapped inside a squirrel park to give you the inside scoop. It's simple really. The globe itself is very light in weight. There is a precisely placed magnet located at the inside top of the globe. Once you plug in the heavily weighted base, and carefully place the globe over top the center of the base, a combination of sensors and micro-processors help to calibrate the embedded electromagnet in the base to properly suspend the globe. It gets deeper than that, of course, but you know the saying, if we told you, we would have to.....well, let you know.

Bi-Color LED Blow On-Off Candles

Lasers and super-bright flashlights are quite prevalent sources of illumination in science fiction. But fantasy has always chosen a more classical approach to light. Torches and magical fireballs and candles are what dispel the shadows and blackness of the night. Candles light Great Halls in schools of magical learning; they burn bright in the chambers of Elven Kings; they even sit on the birthday cakes of Norse Gods (or so Dirk Gently tells us). But candles can be dangerous ("Fire bad" and all that), so we've stirred a mix of science fiction into our candles of fantasy and these awesome LED candles are the result.

Please click here for more information

The LED Blow On-Off Candles are solid wax (except for some electronics) and feature a natural-looking, flickering light just like normal candles, but they have a couple of extra techno enhanced powers. Regular candles will blow out if you blow on the flame, but these LED candles will also blow on. All you have to do is use the master on/off switch on the bottom, and these candles will turn on and off with just a puff at the "flame". Even better, each candle has a switch to select either a cool blue flame, or a more realistic yellowish flame. From the proper distance and height, these candles will fool everyone into thinking they are the real thing; they are a fantastic way to put candles where it is too dangerous to have open flames. And, they won't drip wax all over your mithril armor either.

R/C Star Wars R2-D2 Action Figure

Mini Droid Arrives from Japan to Amaze Star Wars Fanboys Everywhere

Remember that kid who lived down the street from you who owned like every Star Wars action figure in existence? He even had one of those cool Grandmothers who knew everything about Star Wars and bought him that giant AT-AT for his birthday. When you went over to his house he would force you to play with Greedo and forbid you from touching any of his other toys. Meanwhile you had to search for leftover change in vending machines just to scrape up enough action figure money to buy the slave girl version of Leia and Boba Fett. If you're anything like us the whole experience left you mentally scarred for years... causing you to lust after every Star Wars goodie available and have recurring fantasies of your girlfriend in a bikini chained to a huge green slug. Sad.

Please click here for more information

Now that you have money and a real job you can show up that damn Star Wars action figure hoarding brat. This R/C R2-D2 Action Figure is like a Star Wars fanboy's wet dream come true. The size of a regular action figure, this tiny droid is fully controllable from the included lightsaber remote. Authentic R2-D2 sounds, turning head and red LED eye complete the package. No more playing with your old skool Star Wars figures by shaking them and talking in a funny voice, this is the real deal... and we don't kid when it come to Star Wars. We would have killed for this little R2 gem as a kid and it's still pretty damn cool as an adult.

Giant Swiss Army Knife

A behemoth of a knife!

We know what you're probably thinking about this product - isn't this something that ThinkGeek should be launching in very early April (like, say, April 1st)? Yes, we have a reputation for such things, but this knife is real and was created by Wenger to celebrate 100 years of innovation.

Please click here for more information

This unique special edition knife contains all 85 tools currently produced by Wenger (Maker of the Genuine Swiss Army Knife). These 85 tools can be used in over 100 functions and it's the World's Largest Swiss Army Knife. It's not exactly going to win any awards for lightest, smallest or most efficient tool but it probably will win you the title "King of All Gadgets". And even though this knife is a monster, weighing almost 3 pounds, don't worry - it does have a key ring so you can carry it on a belt loop.

Ironkey

Thumb drives are a convenient and cool way to carry around your data, and with drive sizes in the gigabytes, you can store a ton of photos, files, music, and video in a very tiny space. Unfortunately, due to their small sizes, they are targets for information thieves.

Think about it - all that personal data - your resume, email, password-files, and pictures of your girlfriend (wink) can be picked up and copied and returned before you even noticed it was missing. You want to have this data handy, but handy for you and not for that scumbag down the hall with the sticky fingers.

Like you, the US Military wanted portable but secure storage, and the guys at IronKey stepped up. They've developed the perfect solution that's one-part thumb-drive, and two parts Mission: Impossible. Their thumb drives hold up to 4 Gigabytes of data, but includes a hardware encryption chip that scrambles the data so as to be completely unreadable without a password.

Ambient Forecasting Umbrella

The utilitarian umbrella has received a lot of upgrades throughout the years. It's been made smaller and larger, lighter, stronger, easier to open, easier to close and even glowing. The Ambient Forecasting Umbrella, however, has received the ultimate upgrade - it's been made smarter. It tells you when you need to take it along with you.

This umbrella has been injected with some wonderful technology in the handle. A built-in wireless receiver gets a daily weather forecast from Accuweather.com, and blue LEDs will flash to let you know if the forecast is rain or snow. The LEDs located at the bottom of the handle will flash in proportion to the chance of precipitation for your area; if there is a 100% chance, it will flash quickly, and if a 10% chance, it will flash slowly.

USB Memory Watch

Perfect for transporting your files

You may recall from Episode IV that R2 was carrying some important files destined for delivery to Obi-Wan. These files were, of course, a distress message from Princess Leia and plans for the Empire's newly operational battle station. These plans played a critical part in the successful destruction of the Death Star. If you want to be a hero, just like R2, then we suggest you carry your files on this USB Memory Watch.

In addition to displaying the time, this watch helps you carry your valuable data with you at all times (you know - your MP3 files, favorite images, your ThinkGeek shopping list). With 2GB of capacity it has more than ample storage.

The USB Memory Watch has a built-in USB connector and can transfer files to and from most computer operating systems. The USB connector is cleverly stored in the watch band and flips up for easy connecting. There is also a LED light that indicates the device status. The watch is surprisingly sleek and lightweight - it is not a bulky watch. The band is comfortable and very flexible.

Wi-Fi Detector Shirt

Wi-Fi Signal Status for You and the World!

Here at ThinkGeek we're pretty lazy when it comes to technology. We expect our gadgets to do all the busywork while we focus on the high level important tasks like reading blogs. That's why we hate to have to crack open our laptops just to see if there is any wi-fi internet access about... and keychain wi-fi detectors, we would have to actually remove them from our pockets to look at them.

More Information

But now thanks to the ingenious ThinkGeek robot monkeys you can display the current wi-fi signal strength to yourself and everyone around you with this stylish Wi-Fi Detector Shirt. The glowing bars on the front of the shirt dynamically change as the surrounding wi-fi signal strength fluctuates. Finally you can get the attention you deserve as others bow to you as their reverential wi-fi god, while geeky chicks swoon at your presence. You can thank us later.
